How to activate the Devmode

Hey dudes
I found out, how to activate the Devmode.
Just open the Data0.pak file with WinRar and rename the debugconfdefault.scr to debugconf.scr and save it.
Run the game, load a save and press ESC. You should see the DebugMenu (With Cheats) at the bottom.

so you have to put off co-op and steam on offline mode?

No, just don't go online with Dead Island

ok i did change the file name but its aint working now? what do i wrong?

Hi I tried to enable dev mode by doing what you say but now dead island will not launch? it gives error and now even after I have changed back to original name still memory error happens?

it wont work on any other version than 1.0.0 the dev version that they released by accident but the thing is to figure how to save on that version cuz many ppl can't save including me if you find out how to save then use the devconsole(not devmode) and after u get what u want jst upgrade version of game n update the save from "2" to "0"
